Eligibility Criteria for Apni Chat Apna Ghar Program in Punjab

Here is the Eligibility Criteria for application.

Family Head Requirement: The applicant must be the head of their nuclear family as recorded by NADRA, ensuring that the primary decision-maker of the household is the one applying.

Residency Status: It is essential that the applicant holds permanent residency in Punjab, as indicated on their CNIC. This ensures that the benefits of the program are reserved for residents of the province.

Property Ownership: Applicants must be the sole owners of a parcel of land. The size criteria for eligibility are up to 5 Marla in urban areas and up to 10 Marla in rural areas of Punjab. The land in question must be where the applicant plans to construct their house and must be owned by them as of the date of the online application.

Criminal Record: Individuals applying for the housing program must have a clean legal record. They should not have been convicted of anti-state activities, anti-social behaviors, or any serious crimes. This criterion ensures the safety and integrity of the community within the housing program.

Financial Integrity: The program requires that applicants have no history of being loan defaulters with any financial institutions or banks. This financial responsibility criterion is crucial for assessing the reliability and economic stability of the potential beneficiaries.

Socio-Economic Registration: Lastly, applicants must be registered with the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) and belong to a household with a Poverty Measurement Tool (PMT) score of 60 or less. The “Apni Chat Apna Ghar” program, launched by the Chief Minister of Punjab, aims to provide 100,000 affordable houses and apartments to eligible people throughout the province. This important initiative will help improve Punjab’s housing sector. It is designed especially for low-income families who are currently living in rented places or informal settings, enabling them to own their homes. If we talk about the Loan Return then in first 3 months there will be no return. After 3 Months 14000 per month amount will be instalment amount. The total time to return the loan is 7 years. There will be no interest “Sood” for this loan.
