BISP Benazir Kafalat Program is also known as Unconditional Cash Transfer Program. It was started in 2008 and now it is the biggest cash program by Federal Govt of Pakistan.
The basic purpose of Kafalat Program is to handle the food crisis and inflation on the poor particularly females. The long term purpose is the women empowerment. In the 2008 it was just 3000 Rupees but now the amount of Benazir Kafalat Program is 10500/- for 3 Months Term.
Eligibility Criteria for BISP Benazir Kafalat Program
Here is the basic Eligibility Criteria for BISP Benazir Kafalat Program.
The Beneficiaries of “Benazir Kafalat Program” are identified/selected through scientific mode of Proxy Means Test (PMT) through National Socio Economic Registry (NSER) survey. Check your PMT Score.
The welfare status of a household is determined on a scale between 0-100 of the PMT. The PMT cut-off score for eligibility is decided by BISP Board on the basis of available fiscal space.
All families falling within the approved PMT cut-off score are being provided cash assistance under Benazir Kafalat Program. The current PMT cut-off score of 32 was approved by the BISP Board in its 52ndmeeting held on 23rd September, 2021. However, for families with a differently abled person, the PMT cut-off score is set at 37 for eligibility.
Benazir Kafalat Program New Registration

Biometric Verification: At the registration center, biometric verification is carried out to authenticate the identity of the applicant. This step ensures that the assistance is provided to the rightful individuals.
Completion of Forms: Applicants may need to fill out registration forms providing personal information, family details, and financial status. Accuracy is crucial in this step to avoid any delays or rejections in the application process.
Interview or Assessment: Some applicants might undergo a brief interview or an assessment to determine the extent of financial need and to verify the information provided in the registration forms.
Approval and Enrollment: After verification and assessment, eligible individuals are enrolled in the program. They receive a confirmation message or a letter, and are informed about how to collect financial assistance.
Receiving Financial Assistance: Beneficiaries typically receive financial aid through a digital payment system. They might be given a special card linked to a bank account where the funds are deposited, which can be used at ATMs or designated outlets.
Continuous Monitoring and Re-evaluation: The status and eligibility of beneficiaries are periodically reviewed to ensure that the assistance is still needed and that there are no changes in the financial status that would affect eligibility.
